ELIGIBILITY DETERMINATION
1. Industry
Primary focus of your business must be dedicated to either the dental or eye care industries.
2. People
Five or more full-time employees, including owners, participating in medical insurance.
3. Location
Home office must be domiciled in Arkansas (other owned locations/employees in other states are then eligible.
What defines a full-time employee?
Full-time is defined as working an average of 30 or more hours per week. Full-time W2 employees, independent contractors, and owners are eligible for benefits. Part-time employees and contractors are ineligible.
Can an individual join the group?
No. Membership is established at the employer level and offered to all eligible full-time employees. You must have two or more full-time employees, one of which can be the owner. If only there are only two full-time employees, then those two employees cannot be immediate family members.
Is my company eligible?
Your company is eligible to join the group and offer benefits to its eligible employees if the following criteria is met (must meet all three to qualify): 1) Domiciled in Arkansas, 2) Five or more participants in medical insurance and 3) Primary focus of your business must be dedicated to the dental or eye care industries.
Is there a cost to join the group?
Joining is free. As long as you meet the eligibility criteria, the only thing you and your employees pay for is the cost of insurance. That's it.
Does Greyfinch offer any insurance benefits other than medical?
Yes, we also offer dental, vision, life, and disability benefits as part of the group. More details are available upon request. Otherwise, these benefits are automatically included as part of the onboarding and enrollment process.
What is Open Enrollment?
Once annually all eligible employees of the Greyfinch Insurance Group are able to make changes and/or enroll for the first time without experiencing a Qualifying Life Event (marriage, birth, loss of other coverage, etc.). Open enrollment generally takes place around mid-November and will last 30 days.
